We are plannng on visiting Nov 23 thru 27 this year and starting to make the plans now. What type of clothing will we need to pack and what type of weather are we going to encounter. Also, if we go Mon, Tues, Wed or Thanksgiving how are crowds?

This was always a great and favorite week to visit when the kids were in school.  It meant only taking them out for a couple of days and yet we had the full week to enjoy Disney!

The weather is generally cooler at this time of year with the highs averaging about 75 and lows about 56.  Since mother nature doesn't share her plans with us it is always hard to predict the weather. My suggestions is to think layers as when you leave your resort in the morning it will be cool and then again when the sun sets in the evening.  Having a light wrap with you will prevent you from collecting a large supply of Disney World sweatshirts!  Yes, we have learned the hard way!  I would think spring clothes versus mid summer type wear.  During this week we never really spent much time in the pools but if you do plan on swimming do this during the afternoon hours when the sun has had time to warm the air.  The water in all Disney pools is heated to 82 degrees.

The crowds vary as well but we found that if we hit the parks any time before Thanksgiving day we had better luck with lines.  Once Thanksgiving day arrives and then the Friday and Saturday after the lines will tend to be quite long.  Avoid spending a full day in any park with extra magic hours and avoid Hollywood Studios on the days they will be showing Fantasmic for your best luck.  You can participate in these extra perks but you won't want to spend a whole day in that park because the crowds will be larger.
