We are planning to come to WDW for the first time with our 9,8,and 7 yr old daughters. We want to have some fun dining experiences. We have a 5 day pass w/o park hopper and also bought a meal plan. We are wondering what is recommended with these options

Hi David - Having the park hopper option on your tickets will definitely make it easier for you to have some great meals, since you'll be able to visit one park during the day, and eat dinner at a different park.  There are some great character meals, as well as other dining options, that your family should enjoy.  Here are my favorites:

    Epcot:
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall - breakfast, lunch, and dinner hosted by the princesses
The Garden Grill - dinner hosted by Chip n Dale, Mickey, and Pluto
Tutto Italia - fabulous Italian food in the Italian pavilion in Epcot

    The Magic Kingdom:
The Crystal Palace - breakfast, lunch, and dinner hosted by Pooh and friends (this restaurant will be refurbished during part of January and February)

    Animal Kingdom:

Tusker House - breakfast hosted by Donald Duck and friends

    Hollywood Studios:
The Brown Derby - upscale, with excellent food
Sci-Fi Cafe - a totally unique, fun experience where you can eat in car-booths

    Resorts:
'Ohana at the Polynesian- breakfast is hosted by Lilo and Stitch, and dinner is not a character meal, but is still loads of fun!
Chef Mickey at the Contemporary - breakfast and dinner hosted by the most popular Disney characters
Boma - a fabulous buffet at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
