Galactic greetings, Dustin, and thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
I can sense that the Force is strong with you and your group traveling to the
Disneyland Resort this May. Traveling to Batuu has gotten much more popular lately, and tickets are already sold out for
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite, so it’s a good thing your group secured tickets already.
You picked a fantastic spot to rest between your galactic adventures. In fact, the
Disneyland Hotel is my family’s favorite place to stay thanks to the
unique dining options and
awesome monorail waterslides! Plus, the hotel is just minutes away from the Disneyland Monorail, which provides speedy access into the heart of
Disneyland Park from
Downtown Disney District station.
When helping a Guest plan their dream vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth, I typically recommend four days, including one day to enjoy your
Disneyland Resort Hotel and Downtown Disney District, one day dedicated to Disneyland Park, one day dedicated to
Disney California Adventure Park, and one day with
a Park Hopper ticket to enjoy the best of both parks all day long!
It sounds like you’ll be kicking off your epic vacation with
Star Wars Nite, which is a perfect way to begin. Admission for this after-hours event begins at 6:00 PM at Disneyland Park, though the actual event runs from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. For this day, I recommend spending the first half of the day exploring Downtown Disney District and enjoying the waterslides and pool at the Disneyland Hotel. This way, your group will have more energy to battle the Dark Side until 1:00 AM!
I also recommend checking the
Entertainment Schedule on April 15, since that’s when the Schedule should be posted for your arrival day of May 27 (these schedules are usually updated about six weeks in advance). There, you’ll find park hours, show times, and be able to view any attractions scheduled for refurbishment.
Last but not least, I highly recommend
downloading the Disneyland app. It’s my favorite handy helper in the parks! My family uses it to navigate attractions based on wait times and to
mobile order food and drinks – no lines required! This helpful feature has saved me from many toddler (and adult) tantrums!
I hope this information helps you start planning your once-in-a-lifetime journey to Batuu, Dustin! Please stop by with any more specific questions you may have – that’s what we’re here for!
May the Force be with you,
Kristin
