Hi, Jeri!
Welcome to planDisney! This is the first time I have seen this question on our website, so thank you for sending it over. I hope it also helps other
"Magic Happens" fans in the future!
The
Disneyland Resort doesn't offer private videography services for parades or spectaculars. Still, I'm confident you will find good video footage of this parade on YouTube after it returns to the Disneyland Resort on February 24. This is a long-awaited return, and many channels specializing in Disney content will likely film it and offer their content online.
So I'd recommend continuing with your strategy of enjoying the parade in person and using someone else's footage to remember it later. I love being in the moment when I'm traveling, and I enjoy myself much more when I'm not worried about filming or taking photos!
If you still want to film "Magic Happens" on the day of your visit, you can also consider using a small sports camera (such as a GoPro) on a handheld tripod or a backpack mount. This setup will allow you to film it from a nice angle while enjoying your first-hand experience. How does that sound?
I hope you have a fantastic trip to the Disneyland Resort during the
Disney100 Celebration, Jeri. Please let us know if you have more questions, and we'll be glad to help!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
