Hello Meredith!
So glad you came to planDisney with this awesome question. I especially love helping Guests customize their vacations around their kids' favorite things, so I'm thrilled to be able to help you today! Nope, you have not asked us to do a MAMMOTH task. It’s easy to think of several DINO-MITE destinations for your child at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Based on the amount of dinosaur-themed attractions, I would say your best bet would be
Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here’s why: there’s an entire land dedicated to the prehistoric called DinoLand U.S.A. Your budding paleontologist will love
The Boneyard playground with its dig site, where (s)he can excavate fossils from a Triceratops and a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Next door is the intense
DINOSAUR attraction. A planDisney tip: DINOSAUR is both loud, dark and features some scary dinosaurs, too so you may want to preview this ride before letting your child experience it. Plus, Guests must be at least 40 inches tall to ride, so if your child does not meet the height requirements, steer them away from this one.
As far as a restaurant recommendation,
T-Rex, located at
Disney Springs, is a no brainer. With a hands-on Paleo Zone allowing Guests to dig for hidden dinosaur fossils and a 15-foot-tall T. Rex, I’m sure your kiddo will totally DIG it! Be sure to make
Advance Dining Reservations for this one to avoid a wait.
Last but not least, over at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can’t miss Gertie the Dinosaur overlooking Echo Lake. She’s actually an ice cream stand called Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction. Ice cream AND a dinosaur? Your 4-year-old will be in awe!
We would love it if you would unearth more questions for us here at planDisney! Enjoy every moment of memory making with your dino-loving kiddo.
