Hi, I am planning to come to Disney this July. Is it faster to get to the parks using Disney transportation by staying at Fort Wilderness in the cabins or at Sarasota Springs in a villa?

Howdy Eleanore!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Thank you for sharing your question!

Deciding which resort hotel to stay at while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite decisions.  Each resort hotel gives you a different and unique experience.  Also, it looks like you are visiting during the summer.  Walt Disney World is beautiful during the summer months.

When you stay at The Cabin’s at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, you are just a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom Park.  I love this resort for many reasons.  I love the Chip ‘N’ Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long and the view of the Electrical Water Pageant.  This resort is very relaxing and offers lots of recreation options and amenities.  If you are going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Epcot, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios then you would take an interior bus to the Outpost Depot and then take a connecting bus to these 3 parks and the 2 Water Parks.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Villas are beautiful.  From this resort you can take a water taxi to Disney Springs or bus transportation to all 4 parks and both Water Parks.  This resort is very charming.  It is steps away from Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, several amazing pools, and a Community Hall with plenty of activities for the entire family.  You can also enjoy Senses, a Disney Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort for some extra special relaxation!

I hope this helps you make your decision on which resort hotel is best for your vacation.  Your vacation will be here before you know it!  There are so many new and exciting things happening in 2020.  To stay informed, check out the Disney Parks Blog.  Also, if you have any more questions, please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help, Eleanore!
