We are planning to come to Disneyland/California adventure Sunday January 4th and wanted to know if the Christmas decorations will still be up? Thanks!

Greetings, Torie, and welcome to planDisney! I love that you're starting the new year with a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Your timing is great, because the Disneyland Resort is still festively decorated with garland, twinkling lights, wreaths, and more. Holiday experiences will go through January 7, 2026, so you can still enjoy merry decorations, jolly food and drink options, and other seasonal offerings during your visit.

Keep in mind that we're expecting some wet weather over the next few days, so dress accordingly! There are multiple shops that sell ponchos if you don't have one. It could also be a good idea to rent a locker to store a dry change of clothes or any extra items you don’t want to carry all day. Even in rainy weather, the Disneyland Resort is still a lot of fun. You will have a great time!

It might be worth getting the Lightning Lane Multi Pass if you don't have it already. You'll be able to use it to access the Lightning Lane entrances for various attractions, which can lead to shorter wait times. That can also help you avoid the rain in outdoor queues.

Don't miss "it's a small world" Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday. The seasonal overlays of these attractions are really festive. I also love the decorations at Cars Land in California Adventure – try to see how many themed Christmas trees you can find!

Torie, if you have any questions while at the park, you can stop by one of the Guest Relations spots around the park, or use the chat feature in the Disneyland mobile app. Of course, you can also come back to planDisney – we're always happy to help! I hope you have a magical time.

Wishing you a visit filled with happy moments and lots of fun,
    Kriss
