We are planning to take my 4 year old daughter to Disneyland for her first trip ever. She is 3 years cancer free and we want it to be as magical as possible. Is it worth it to make reservations at Ariel's Grotto?

    Hi, Jennifer!

I’m thrilled to hear you’re planning a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth with your daughter. First visits are always magical, but it sounds like yours will be extra sweet since you’ll be celebrating your daughter remaining cancer free!

I’ve dined at Ariel’s Grotto several times and my son really enjoys the whimsical undersea atmosphere and character interactions during “Ariel’s Disney Princess Celebration.” I think your daughter would too! It’s a great way to meet and get photos taken with a handful of the most beloved Disney princesses. My favorite part of the meal is the dessert platter, which is almost too pretty to eat! Be sure to make a reservation, and don’t forget to mention that you’re celebrating a special occasion when calling because you may get sprinkled with a little extra pixie dust during your dining experience.

I bet your daughter would also love Fantasy Faire in Disneyland Park, a whimsical new storybook village near Sleeping Beauty Castle where she can meet more Disney princesses and see two shows featuring Belle and Rapunzel! Not far away is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where she can get a magical makeover. It's the perfect way to pamper your little princess with the help of a Fairy Godmother-in-training and her magic wand!

If you’re staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, an in-room celebration would be a magical addition to your trip. From gift baskets and bouquets to special room decorations, desserts and treats, the Disney Dream Makers offer gift ideas perfect for your special visit. You can contact them to create a custom celebration plan by calling (714) 781-GIFT.

I hope this helps, Jennifer. Please write back with more questions as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
