Oh my goodness,
Judy! I'm so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about the
World Showcase: DestiNations Discovered Tour. I can't begin to tell you how much you are going to enjoy this behind-the-scenes experience at Epcot.
I take small groups (12-15 students) on this tour as part of their storytelling-themed senior trip and the young adults who participate are simply blown away by the details that Disney Imagineers have incorporated into the 11 pavilions that comprise World Showcase. Even if you have been to Epcot many times over the years, the VIP Guide who leads this tour will point out features I'm sure you have overlooked. You'll weave your way through each of the countries, starting with Canada and ending five hours later in Mexico. Although you're not likely to feel fatigued from the experience, be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
Approximately midway through the tour, you'll enjoy a delightful lunch at the
Rose & Crown Dining Room of the UK Pavilion. (When you check in for your tour earlier in the day, you will choose from five or six entrées from their menu. Barring any food allergies, everyone on the tour will enjoy the same appetizer and dessert. Then, when you arrive for lunch, your food will be waiting for you.) The lunch is a perfectly timed break during the tour.
When you take this tour, don't be shy about asking questions. The Guides who facilitate this tour are amazing! My students loved our guide, Julie. We all wanted to bring this pixie-dusted lady back home with us. She made the experience simply magical for all of us.
Let me know if there's anything more you'd like to know about this exceptional tour.
Best wishes,
Jill
