planning our Wish 3-day Bahamas cruise. We have been to Nassau so we plan to stay in the ship that day. Is there a list of activities on ship during port hours? I’m worried there won’t be enough to do and my kids will get bored.

Ahoy there, Ashley. Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question for us.

One thing our family loves about Disney Cruise Line is that there is always something to do, no matter if you’re young or young at heart. There is never a dull moment for us on a Disney vacation. Nassau is a popular port of call for cruises that sail around the Bahamas. Because of this, many repeat cruisers often choose to stay on the ship. Even though you’ll skip the Port Adventures in Nassau, there are so many activities to do on the Disney Wish. Be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigation App for all the fun activities planned throughout the day!

It’s great that you will be docking at Nassau on Day 2, since it’ll give you a chance to really explore the Disney Wish by staying on the ship. While you’re checking out the ship, consider trying out Disney Unchartered Adventure! It’s a fun, interactive game that uses your Disney Cruise Line Navigation App. You’ll get your steps in and you can familiarize yourselves to the different areas of the ship.

Another must-do activity is the AquaMouse. The line is usually shorter on port days, especially during the early part of the day, while many people are ashore. Relax in one of the many pools and take advantage of the slightly smaller crowd size.

There are usually trivia games and crafting activities too. We enjoy making Disney-themed crafts and they’re generally small and easy to bring home. A small magnet is often provided for you to attach, so that you can stick your masterpieces on your stateroom door as decorations! (Be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigation App for details and times.) There are generally Disney characters out and about as well, so either keep an eye out for them (or refer to the App for the schedule). The Oceaneer Club is also typically open during port days so this is an option for fun activities your children can do as well.

I hope these activity suggestions are helpful for you as you plan your upcoming sailing in March. If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again.

Hope to SEA ya real soon,
    Kiki
