    Hi. We are planning a weeklong trip to Central Florida from 8/10/11 through 8/17/11 and would like at least one day at Kennedy Space Center. The bulk of our time, however, will be at WDW. We have a 6 year old girl. Can you suggest any itineraries? Thx

    Hi there Shelly! 


    I have been wanting to make it out to the Kennedy Space center for so many years now! In fact my father in law lived in Cocoa Beach for a couple of years and I still didn't get to go. I'm sure you and your family will make it before we do! Ha Ha! 

    I would plan to make it out to the Space Center in the mid week time period. The Center is busiest on the weekend just like the Walt Disney World resort parks. 

    As an itinerary, I would plan to be at the parks as early as possible to get to ride as many rides before the rush comes in the mid morning. Look for the dates you are going on the Walt Disney World online calendar and see the Parks' individual hours. Some parks close earlier than others so it is more advantageous to go to the ones which close early then "park hop" over to one staying open later. If you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort, take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours privilege. I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort!
