Planning 1 week trip to Disney world from Dec. 2. I assume FP for popular ones are already taken. I wonder how busy it will be. Should we just go ahead and put up with wait or visit next time. we have 6 yo boy and definitely don't want to wait too long

    Hi there, Kiwon!

It is the most amazing time of the year to visit Walt Disney World, and even though you are getting a late start planning, we may be able to give you some tips to make it a magical vacation.

First, absolutely book whatever FastPass+ attraction selections you can get. Because you are between two big holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas - you might luck into one of the more popular FastPass+ options. Crowds are likely to be at their lowest compared with any other time during the holiday season, so while I can't guarantee short waits for everything, it should be at least somewhat manageable.

Another tip I use all the time is to be at the parks as soon as they open. We visit Walt Disney World every Christmas, and I make sure we are at the parks before they begin letting guests in. You'd be amazed at how much you can get done before the parks become really crowded over the course of the day.

Consider doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Although not every attraction is open, most of the popular ones are, and the waits during the party are usually way shorter than they would be during the day. You can get so much done during the evening of the party, not to mention all the festive fun you won't get during the day - plus get free holiday refreshments!
If you are a Walt Disney World resort hotel guest, don't forget you can also use Extra Magic Hours to extend your theme park days. That will really help!

    Have fun, Kiwon!
