Hiya David! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with this great question and a big thank you to your husband for his service to our country!
I'm excited you have decided to spend your 40th wedding anniversary at the
Most Magical Place on Earth! It's only natural to want to celebrate this special time at a place that is near and dear to so many people's hearts! Fortunately, the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration will still be underway at this time and you'll be able to take advantage of all the special experiences that come along with it. Between the sweet treats and wonderful nighttime entertainment, there is so much to look forward to!
David, great choice choosing a
4-day park hopper ticket. This will allow you to visit each of the four theme parks while giving you the flexibility to visit multiple parks on the same day. Now that your purchase is complete, you'll need to log on to your
My Disney Experience account to link your tickets. If you have not created an account yet, head over to the Walt Disney World website and click on "My Disney Experience". Select "Create an Account" and follow the steps to do so. Once this is complete, you can now go ahead and link your park tickets to your account. First, select "Park Tickets" followed by "Link Tickets". You'll then need to enter your Ticket ID Code which can be found underneath the barcode of your physical ticket or in the confirmation email provided upon purchase.
Once your tickets are linked, the next step is to make
theme park reservations for the first park you plan to visit each day. Park reservations are required for entry along with a valid park ticket. Go back to the main page of your My Disney Experience account and select "Park Reservations" followed by "Make a Reservation". You'll then select the date you wish to visit along with the park you want to reserve for that day. It's as simple as that!
The next step in the process will be at the 60-day mark in advance of your arrival day. You'll be able to make dining reservations at this time. I would do your research now for the restaurants you plan to eat at during your stay, and prioritize them by with reservation is most important to you. Then, 60 days out from each of your vacation days, you can log on
around 5:45 AM EST to make dining reservations for that day.
David, I hope this information helps you plan the rest of your visit.
Stop back and see us again at planDisney with any additional questions!
See ya real soon!
