Planning...The website won't let me look past a check in date of 12/31/16. The help desk said on line planning would be available, at the earliest, 5-6 months out. I know that I have started planning a vacation earlier than that. Advice?

    Hi Jill,

2016 is flying by. Can’t believe we are in March already, and there’s no best time than now to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

At this time, rates for resort hotels and vacation packages for prices for 2017 have not been released. They typically become available sometime during the summer. At this time, however, you can book a room-only reservation for 2017, only by calling a vacation planning specialist at (407) 939-1936, or via your travel agent. Keep in mind that the prices you’ll be quoted will be subject to change, once the new prices become available.

Now, if you are interested in a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, which includes tickets and optionally a Disney Dining Plan, it would be best for you to wait until these become available. It doesn't mean that you cannot stop planning ahead. You can make advanced dining reservation up to 180 days in advance, by simply visiting the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants and reservations page, or calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. But even if you plan on arriving on January 1st, 2017 rates may be already available by then.

Hope this helps, but in the meantime, don’t hesitate to come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m sure you have more planning questions, and we’re here to help you.
