We are planning on wearing pirate costumes to Oogie Boogie. One person in our party wants to wear an off the shoulder dress, is that allowed? The dress is family friendly otherwise.

    Ahoy, matey!

What a thoughtful friend you are to reach out to planDisney and ask this great question!

Guests are welcome to wear frightfully fun costumes to Oogie Boogie Bash subject to special Disney event costume guidelines and, after a quick look on the Disneyland website, it doesn't seem to me like an off the shoulder dress would be an issue. My guess is that your friend's costume should be just fine! However, Cast Members always have the final call.

I'm so excited you and your friends will get to experience my favorite after-hours party at California Adventure! Make sure to find Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. They are so cute. And don't forget that unlimited complimentary digital downloads are provided for all Disney PhotoPass photos captured during the party. Scan the QR code on your event wristband via the Disneyland app to access your photo gallery. You and your buccaneers have up to 45 days to download photos as often as you like.

More spooktacular details on Oogie Boogie Bash can be found on the Disney Parks Blog

I hope this has been helpful in your friend's planning, Elizabeth! Have a ghoulishly good time at Oogie Boogie Bash! Yo ho, Yo ho - it's spooky season for me! ARRR!

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
