I am planning to wear a Running Buddy to hold my room key, park ticket, identification, credit card, and my cell phone. Do I need to go through the bag check line to go through security? Trying to save time and not have to carry anything.

Hello again, Karen! I am so happy to answer another question from you!

Wearing a Running Buddy sounds like a fantastic way to carry your necessities during your visit to the Disneyland Resort! In fact, I may just have to steal that idea for my next visit as sometimes my purse can bog me down a bit. When you go through the security check, I would be prepared to have your Running Buddy checked by security and you will also have to remove it to go through the metal detectors. In my experience, though, the security procedures at the Disneyland Resort take hardly any time at all! Plus, if you open all the pockets before you get to the security guard, you will save even more time. If you are headed to the parks early to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour, you may not encounter a line at security and you will breeze right through.

Another thing that helps me be more efficient is scanning my ticket into the Disneyland app. Once you do this, you can enter the park by scanning the digital ticket in the Disneyland app instead of using the paper ticket. I usually already have my phone out anyway to check entertainment schedules or to take pictures, so this keeps me from fumbling around with too many things in my hands at once when I'm entering the parks.

I hope this helps! Have a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
