I am planning a WDW vacation with a traveler who has an egg allergy. Can you let me know what arrangements I should make or recommend things I should do while vacationing? Thank you.

Hi Carrie! Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!!

This is a great question and I love how proactive you are being in taking care of this now. Walt Disney World Resort is committed to offering a wide range of dining options to Guests with special dietary requests. There are several things you can do now and during your vacation to ensure your traveler with the egg allergy is accommodated.

Several Disney restaurants offer allergy-friendly menus that address many common allergies including eggs. Once you have a tentative itinerary of the restaurants you are planning to enjoy, call (407) 939-3463 and inform the Cast Member of the allergy. The Cast Member will not only assist you with your reservations but also with noting the egg allergy.

When you are enjoying your vacation, continue to inform Cast Members as you dine. Once you are in a restaurant, let your server know about the allergy. Where available, an allergy friendly menu will be provided. If needed, you can also discuss the allergy and options with the restaurant chef. If you plan to dine at any of the buffets, your server will provide you with allergen guides or alternate meal options.

There are also special diets-trained Cast Members who can assist in both the table and quick service restaurants. As we all become more aware of food allergies and/or have additional lifestyle requests when dining, Walt Disney World Resort has worked diligently to enhance dining options by substituting ingredients or using different approaches to preparing food.

Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can help with any other tips or advice as you continue planning for your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
