    Planning a WDW vacation for 01/16. I have not yet seen any promotions released for that time, is it worth waiting a little while to see what special offers are advertised? Staying on resort for only half of trip, will a car rental be a waste while at WDW?

    Hi Mandy,

    Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation, it will be here before you know it!  Personally I prefer to make my vacation reservation as soon as my travel dates are known.  This way I am assured of receiving my preferred Disney Resort hotel and room category choice and am free to continue with my vacation planning without worry about a particular Resort hotel becoming booked up.  I also have the Walt Disney World Special Offers page bookmarked and check it periodically for newly released deals.  If I see one that applies to my vacation I call the phone number listed on this page for Disney Resort hotel reservations and ask for the Special Offer to be applied to my existing reservation.  Keep in mind that each Special Offer is limited in quantity for each Resort hotel so calling quickly is the best strategy for securing one of these offers.

    I enjoy the perks of staying at a Disney Resort hotel and one of my favorites is the free use of the Walt Disney World transportation system.  A few times I have had a car while on vacation at Walt Disney World but I have rarely used it.  Keep in mind that once you arrive you may still rent a car if you prefer and you also have access to taxis and Uber service.
