I am planning a WDW vacation. I was looking at both Disney Resort hotels and the Hilton located on Disney World grounds. How does the Hilton compare to the categories of resort hotels? Would it fall into Moderate or Deluxe categories? Thanks!

    Hi Fred!

There are two Hiltons on Walt Disney World property and I've stayed in both of them.  The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is a little nicer than the Hilton in Downtown Disney in my opinion; it's newer and the rooms are a little nicer.  It's also has a really nice pool.  However, the Downtown Disney Hilton does offer some advantages, including offering access to Extra Magic Hours and being literally across the street from Downtown Disney.  I would say that both resorts are equivalent to a Disney Deluxe Resort, except that they don't have any theming and the transportation to and from the theme parks is not as good as Disney's transportation.  However, in terms of service, the amenities at the resort, and how nice the rooms are, they are definitely equivalent to Disney Deluxe Resorts, though not as nice as Disney's best resorts such as the Grand Floridian.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
