We are planning a wdw vacation for Dec 2013. Can Disney Dollars still be used through out the parks? Thought it would be fun to give our kids their own Disney spending money!

Hi Amy! I love using the Disney Dollars and my family enjoys games where we pass them out on each trip. My children have been playing this game since they were infants and as adults with their own children they won't do a Disney vacation without them!

Disney Dollars can indeed be used for food, drink, souvenirs, and anything else on Disney property. You can purchase a certain amount ahead of time or stop by a Guest Relations location in the parks or Downtown Disney to purchase more. I have found that the best locations are either the Magic Kingdom or Downtown Disney. The resorts will also have some but I have not always had luck with getting all three denominations and the amount I needed at the resorts. Disney Dollar denominations are ones, fives, and tens.

Another option for children's spending money while on vacation at Disney is a Disney gift card. You can put as much money on each one as you see fit. These can also be used at all locations on property. Gift cards can be purchased in advance as well as finding them in most stores in the parks and resorts.
