Planning a WDW vacation at campsites @ FW in Jan. or Feb. 2012. What is weather like that time of year. Is it too cold to tent camp? Will be traveling with a 4,2,1 year olds. Also, is it warm enough to swim at waterparks and resort pools? Thx for any help!

    Hello Larry!

I think that if you take cold weather gear such as heavy blankets, you should be ok. I'm from Upstate S.C. and we have been camping in the mountains of NC in February so we're used to cold camping. The weather in Walt Disney World is warmer than South Carolina but at times it may turn very cold. The average temperatures in January and February is a high of 73 and low of 48. If the temperature is in the seventies, I think you should be able to swim depending on your cold tolerance. All of the pools are heated so the water temperature should be ok. I remember seeing people swimming in the pools in December! I hope this information helps you with your planning and if you have more questions, please ask away, we are always here to help! Have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
