Hi. We’re planning our wdw trip but are worried because our two year old isn’t great at leaving her mask on! Will we be forced to leave if she takes it off???

    Hi, there!

Welcome back to planDisney, Karen. We're so happy to see you again! We just love helping you plan your family's Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

As a mom of three and as an elementary teacher, I completely understand your concern. It can be hard for little ones to keep a face covering on for a length of time! At this time, face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors and while in Disney buses, monorail, and Disney Skyliner. If your 2-year old can't keep a face covering on, it's certainly possible that a Cast Member may issue a gentle reminder. The good news is, face coverings are not required outdoors at the moment, so your little one will get lots of frequent mask breaks! In the meantime, practice wearing a face covering on hour-long outings to the store or other indoor locations. With some practice, modeling, and encouragement, I bet your 2-year old will be well-prepared by the time of your visit!

A stroller will be an absolute must-have for your Disney vacation. Exploring the theme parks requires a lot of walking, and those little legs tire quickly! Strollers are available to rent from all four theme parks and Disney Springs, but I prefer to take our personal stroller for our 3-year old. If you choose to bring your own stroller, just be sure that it's no larger than 31" in width and 52" in length. Finding your stroller among a sea of others in the designated parking areas can be tricky, so take something along to make it easy to spot. I attach Mickey Mouse ribbon to the handlebar of our stroller, but I've seen Guests use balloons, nameplates, and even battery-operated twinkle lights!

I hope this was helpful, Karen. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
