We are planning our WDW trip and have 14 people (7A/6C/1infant) and wanted to find out when is the best time. We are looking at 14 days in Florida and are flying in from Hawaii.

    Hi Alyson!

There are three things that come to mind when I think about when is the best time to go to Walt Disney World:
    • Expected crowds
    • Weather
    • If there are any special events
Crowds are smallest in Walt Disney World when older children are in school.  Thus the most crowded times are the holidays and summer.  The weather, being Florida, is hot and humid in the summer.  If you don't like heat and humidity then it is best to avoid the summer months.  Various special events happen all year, and some are more popular than others.

All of that said, my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World is the week of Thanksgiving (but crowded) through the middle of December.  That's because the parks and resorts are absolutely beautiful as they will be decorated for the holidays, etc.  There are also special Christmas activities going on and a lot of them start in early November, such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

It's not a easy decision to decide when to go.  Send me some more information and I will be happy to help you plan your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
