Hello there, we are planning a WDW trip for next April. My son will be 4 1/2 at that point. Do you recommend calling ahead of the trip to reserve a stroller or waiting until we arrive? I am thinking of using Kingdom Stroller rentals. Thanks!

    Hi Rebecca,

Congratulations on your spring Walt Disney World vacation!  I love visiting in April - the weather is warm and spring is in full bloom.  Since most schools are still in school in April, the crowd level tends to be generally more moderate as well.

I definitely agree if you are planning on renting a stroller from a Disney featured provider you should reserve one prior to your arrival.  My youngest is 5 and I still rent a stroller for him when visiting the parks.  In fact just last week we had a City Elite Single delivered to our Resort hotel from Kingdom Strollers.  I usually rent strollers from the featured providers so that we may have use of it throughout our entire vacation, unlike the strollers which are rented by the day and remain in the theme parks.  You will find Kingdom Strollers and the list of other Disney Featured Providers at the bottom of this linked page regarding Disney stroller rentals.  You may either call or reserve your stroller online.  The biggest benefit to reserving early is your stroller will be delivered to your Disney Resort hotel prior to your arrival and you can stop by Bell Services to pick it up when you are checking in to your Resort hotel.  Additionally if you reserve early you will be guaranteed that the stroller you want will not be out of stock.  My kids are pretty tall for their age so reserving the taller City Elite Single was important for me and I made sure to rent it prior to our arrival.

Here's to wishing you a Magical vacation Rebecca!  Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question and please let us know if you have any further vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help.

    Blessings,
