Hi Maria, welcome to planDisney!
I hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship as you continue making plans for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm so glad you'll be visiting during The World's Most Magical Celebration. I highly recommend experiencing the two new nighttime spectaculars that debuted as part of the
50th Anniversary Celebration:
Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom park and
Harmonious at EPCOT.
Memory Maker is the
Disney PhotoPass product that allows Guests to download all of the trip photos and videos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout their vacation. This purchase also includes attraction photos (always good for a laugh!) and Magic Shots (pixie dust included!)
I have great news to share, Maria. You can purchase Memory Maker and your park tickets at the same time. When
purchasing tickets online, start by selecting the number of days you'll be visiting the parks. Wondering how many days you'll need to experience the magic? Scroll down on
this page to get a general idea of what you can expect to experience with varying ticket lengths. You'll then select the type of ticket (one park per day, Water Park and Sports Option, Park Hopper Option, or Park Hopper Plus Option) as well as the date of your first park day. The green circles in the upper righthand corner of each calendar square will give you an idea about park availability. A full green circle means all parks are available for
theme park reservations, which are also required for theme park entry. You'll next confirm the quantity of adult and child (Ages 3-9) tickets you will be purchasing and click "Continue." The next page is where you'll be able to add Memory Maker - Advance Purchase to your order. You'll also have the option of adding Disney Genie+ for the duration of your tickets. I recently shared my
personal recommendations on purchasing Genie+ with another Guest, which you may find helpful.
Since you'll be signed in to your
My Disney Experience account to make your ticket purchase, Maria, Memory Maker will automagically be linked to your account. It will activate as soon as you scan in (via
MagicBand,
MagicMobile pass, or Disney PhotoPass card) with a Disney PhotoPass photographer on your trip. Memory Maker includes all photos and media taken within 30 days of the activation date. Please note your pictures expire 45 days after they were taken, which is an important date to mark on your calendar. I like to have a download day around 30 days after my Disney vacations; reliving all the magical memories gets me excited to start planning my next adventure!
When you're ready to ask your next trip-planning question, Maria, planDisney will be hEAR.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
