I am planning on a WDW trip in Feb 2010. Dumb ? but what is the weather like? Is it warm enough for swimming and are the nights chilly or warm? I don't want to either over or under-pack!

    Hi Amy!

Thanks for writing!  While it's impossible to predict with complete certainly what the weather will be like for a particular week, average highs in Orlando in February are in the low 70s and lows are in the low 50s.  That being said, I've been to Disney in February and worn shorts and t-shirts on an 80+ degree day, and worn a pretty warm jacket on a 40 degree morning.  In my opinion, the key to travelling at this time of year is to bring along layers that can be easily added or removed as the sun shines and warms up the parks in the afternoon.  I would recommend long pants with short-sleeved shirts, and jackets.  You may want to include a pairs of shorts in case you catch a particularly warm week.

The great news is that all of the pools at the Disney resorts are heated, and if you catch a warm, sunny afternoon, you should be able to enjoy your resort pool.  We have travelled over "February break" several times, and have been able to swim at least one day on each trip.  I'm from the Northeast, so a 70 degree day in February is downright balmy as far as I'm concerned!

    Have a wonderful time!
