We are planning a WDW trip in August. Trying to decide if the Dining Plan is worth it.My daughter has celiac and it's hard to eat out. It's not only GF options but cross contamination.Has anyone else doneDP with a celiac and does it work out?

Thanks for contacting us Kathleen. Welcome to planDisney, we will be happy to get you going in the right direction for this very important allergy question.

Walt Disney World is a very popular destination for families with all kinds of folks with special needs, dietary restrictions, and many other walks of life. Being sure that you are prepared for your daughter's dietary needs is something I am sure you prepare for often. If you use the My Disney Experience App you will be able to see what restaurants offer gluten-free options. However, I would recommend contacting Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com for information regarding this specific allergy. These special Cast Members will be able to guide you during this decision and find how many restaurants your little one can dine in confidently. In my experience when I have dined a number of times, once I mention my shellfish allergy a chef usually comes out to ask if there were any other restrictions and takes special care reassuring me.

If you are able to get specific information on the finest churros on the face of the planet they are located inside of Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom Park. These gluten free beauties are served with dipping sauces and crush every other churro I have ever tried. This location is a favorite of mine because the seating outside is so peaceful and comfortable, you won't feel like you are at a theme park at all when visiting this quiet lounge. You can always count on the ever popular Dole Whip, this frozen treat is perfect for any afternoon in the Florida sun. My number one value inside of the parks just so happens to be GF as well. On your first day at the parks purchase a refillable popcorn bucket this is only $2.25 to refill during your entire stay. Price subject to change. You can also use a Disney Dining Plan snack credit, but I would recommend using those on a more expensive item.

I know this may have not answered your question but this will get you on the right track for making that decision if you can find options with the Disney Dining Plan.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
