Planning a WDW trip for our 10th anniv. but wont actually be there on the exact date. Can we still wear Anniv pins & tell a restaurant like Chef Mickeys that it's our anniversary? I dont want to feel like we're taking advantage of the magic wrongly

    Hi Sarah!

Congratulations on your upcoming 10th anniversary!

Guests often celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons or other special occasions at Disney before or after the actual date. Its sometimes really hard to coordinate schedules to be at Disney on the exact date. Disney completely understands that and you're more than welcome to get a "Happy Anniversary" button to wear during your visit. If you're staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel, you can request buttons upon check in. If not, you can request them at any Guest Relations location at the theme parks or water parks.

If you decide to stay at a Disney World Resort Hotel during your trip, be sure to mention that you'll be celebrating your anniversary when you're making your reservations. They already had our buttons waiting for us on our last trip. We also received a phone call from Mickey and Minnie and there was an autograph picture of Mickey and Minnie in our room. I don't know if they do that at every resort but it sure was a little added pixie dusted that made our trip special.

You are also welcome to tell them at Chef Mickey's or any of the other table service restaurants that you're celebrating your anniversary. Each restaurant has their own way of making celebrations special. The Crystal Palace had a heart made of sparkly confetti on our table waiting for us. Cute - cute - cute!

If you'd like to plan something special to celebrate while you're there, let us know us and we'll be happy to give you some ideas. We're hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
