Planning our 1st WDW trip for 2adults 3kids (DS12,DS9,DD5) from 3/25-31/12. Staying at FW Cabins w/ 4 day pass no PH. It is an 18hr drive so we planned Downtown for 3/25 and no parks 3/31. Then I'm stuck w/ the plans. Any idea for sample itineraries? Thx:)

    Hi Christina,

Your first Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner.  You must be so excited!  Your children are at such wonderful ages to enjoy all the magic that Disney has to offer.

Since you will be Disney resort guests during your stay, I'd plan your itinerary so that you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours in the Disney theme parks.  These are special times, either at the beginning or end of the day, when Disney resort guests have exclusive access to the parks.  I would also include a restful day toward the end of your vacation so that you and your children can take advantage of all the fun activities at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

So, here's what I propose as an itinerary for your upcoming trip:

March 25th - Arrive at Walt Disney World, check out your home resort, and enjoy some shopping at Downtown Disney.

March 26th - Head to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The park stays open three hours beyond normal closing time for Disney park guests.

March 27th - Arrive at Epcot at 8 am to enjoy morning Extra Magic Hours.

March 28th - Go wild at Disney's Animal Kingdom beginning with morning Extra Magic Hours.

March 29th - Enter the Magic Kingdom at the 8 am Extra Magic Hours opening time.

March 30th - Sleep in. Recharge your batteries for the ride home and enjoy some fun activities at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

March 31 - Drive home.  Start planning your next trip to Walt Disney World as you drive.

Have fun and let us know if you have any additional questions!
