    Hi! planning on wdw Feb 2017. Waiting for 2017 military discounts to be released before making hotel reservation. We are approaching the 6 month mark for dining though. Can I make dining reservations before hotel. Not doing a dining plan if it matters.

    Yes! You can absolutely make advanced dining reservations before you make your Walt Disney World Resort reservation. In fact, I did this a few month ago when my husband and I tossed around the idea of a fall visit. I did not want to miss out getting a few of our favorite dining locations while we were still making our decision, so I went ahead and booked a few dinners just in case! So when your 180-day window opens, you can begin making reservations at your favorite dining locations. Just be sure that if your plans fall through that you cancel dining reservations within the cancellation period as outlined at the time of booking to avoid any charges. You can also find the policy in the confirmation email, so be sure to keep those emails for reference. I hope this helps, and you can book all of your must-do dining experiences!
