We're planning on going to WDW in early September and staying at Saratoga Spring Resort. What is the quickest way to the parks? Is there an onsite car rental at any of the Disney properties in case we want to take a side trip outside of Disney? Thanks!

Hi Kristin, and welcome to planDisney!

You will love Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in September!

The quickest way to get around while in Orlando would be to rent a car, which is my preferred mode of transportation when I visit Walt Disney World Resort! There are a couple of options when it comes to renting a car. You can rent a car when you arrive at the airport, and depending on the company; you may not have to visit the desk and can utilize the kiosk or complete a service like, Accelerated Check in with Alamo Rent a Car and proceed to your vehicle and follow the instructions provided. Another option would be to rent a car when you arrive on the property from The Car Care Center - Car Rental Facility. The beauty of this is that a shuttle is available to pick you up and drop you back off at your resort between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM every day. If you go the route of the Car Care Center, you can arrange to be picked up and dropped off at one of The Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, or Disney Springs. Talk about convenience. Just be sure to reserve your car at least one hour before pick-up time. When you are ready, just call (407)824-3470 to make the arrangements.

If you decide to rent a car, please note that overnight parking will incur a fee per night. You will not have to pay to park at the theme parks if you are a Disney Resort guest.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Have a magical adventure!
