Hi, Karen!
I’m thrilled to hear that you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World this winter! The holiday season is my absolute favorite time to visit Disney Parks. There’s nothing like exploring “The Most Magical Place on Earth” when it’s also the merriest place on earth!
I recommend purchasing tickets to attend
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party during your visit. I attended the event this past December and really enjoyed the special festivities that are exclusive to party evenings, like Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season music and fireworks show, and snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A.! Ticket sales for the party typically begin in the spring (this past year it was in early May), so be sure to check the Walt Disney World website for information about dates and tickets as the season approaches.
I think visiting various resort hotels to take in the magic of the holiday decorations is a great idea! I did this during my visit last month. I spent part of the morning visiting the three resort hotels on the Monorail system—Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa—to enjoy the festive decor.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is my favorite because it is home to the amazing Victorian gingerbread house you asked about. It usually opens in mid-November and Guests can visit daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
I hope this information helps, Karen. Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your pixie-dusted holiday vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
