Was planning on watching Wishes from Poly beach after dinner at Ohana but now I'm not sure. 1st trip with 4 and 6 year olds.I'm wondering if you lose the "ambiance" by not being in the MK?Any thoughts? Thanks for all the great info!

    Hi Tina,

I don't think that you lose anything from watching Wishes at the Polynesian beach, however I do think that everyone should experience Wishes from inside Magic Kingdom as well. These are 2 completely different experiences (in my opinion) and I always have at least one night of each vacation inside the Park watching them and another night (or more) watching from the Polynesian Resort beach.  If you are going to be there anyways, then I would certainly not miss it.  I like the viewing spot from the Polynesian for a number of reasons and the main one is no (or little) crowds!  I would much rather sit on the beach with a spectacular view of the fireworks than have people stand on my feet and push and shove me all the time.  My daughter loves to play in the sand during this light display in the sky and you will be able to view the Electrical Water Pageant from this resort as well, shortly after or before the fireworks (depending on the Wishes time schedule)....bonus!  We love the atmosphere at this resort and if anyone has noise sensitivity concerns then the distance you get here will be helpful for that as well.

The downside to viewing the fireworks at the resort instead of Magic Kingdom is that you won't be able to see Tink fly from Cinderella's Castle during the show.  If you are there when there are lower crowds and you can view them right around Main Street U.S.A. or around the front or directly on either side of the Castle then I would say that there really is no comparison (this experience is phenomenal!).  The music is loud as are the fireworks and the atmosphere makes this a very magical experience being right in the middle of it (especially if all of the conditions..crowds, weather, etc...are just right!).  Hopefully you will be able to enjoy both of these very magical viewing experiences.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
