Hi, I am planning on going to Walt Disney world in September and want to visit all the parks in a length of 6 days and stay at a resort, it will only be me and my boyfriend. I never planned a trip this big before, where do I start first???

    Hi Amree!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

The first step is figuring out when you want to go so you are well on your way.  September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World.  You will definitely want to experience Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom.  It has a great fireworks show, parade, and, of course, trick or treating in the park!

Picking where to stay can be hard.  If you are on a budget, then you will want to consider a Disney Value Resort.  My favorite Disney Value Resort is Pop Century.  If you want to move up, you could stay at a Disney Moderate Resort such as Port Orleans Riverside, my favorite.  Finally, if your budget allows, you could stay at a Disney Deluxe Resort.  My favorite is the Wilderness Lodge.  As you go to a higher category, there are more services and amenities at the resort.

After you know when you are going and where you are staying, you should work on a day-by-day plan.  That will help you to make Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) which are critical if you want to enjoy any of the Table Service (full service) restaurants at Walt Disney World.  ADRs can be made up to 180 days in advance online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

Our responses are limited in length, but I would be happy to help you plan your magical Disney vacation.  Just send more questions directly to me or to any other panelist!
