Hi moms. Was planning on visitng the water parks in the afternoons in August 2012, say 2pm to 6pm, but read that they sometimes close due to capacity. Is this correct? Also will the queue for rides be very long in the afternoon?

    Hello Charlotte,

All of Walt Disney World's Theme Parks and Water Parks are subject to closure due to capacity.

During the busy (and hot) summer months, it's not uncommon for the Water Parks to reach capacity.  However, this typically occurs in the early afternoon and the park is able to re-open for additional guests later in the day.  By arriving in the late afternoon, you should have a better chance of entering the parks than if you had tried to enter at 11a-12pm.

As far as lines go, expect to find longer waits at the main attractions at each Water Park, especially if you're visiting on the weekends.  I highly suggest visiting during the week, if possible.  They will still be busy, but the weekends tend to be packed.

    Have a magical day,
    Ashley
