I am planning on visiting WDW in May for my college graduation. Is there any extra magic I can add to my trip to celebrate such as buttons or room celebration decorations? We are planning to stay in either Pop Century or Art of Animation

    Hi Dylan,

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!  I can't think of a better place than Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate, you are going to have a magical time.

Upon arrival, guests are able to ask for a celebration button at either the front desk of your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or at Guest Services at any Theme Park or Disney Springs.  The celebration buttons are complimentary, and guests are able to customize buttons as appropriate!  Don't forget to stop by one of the many shops on property to pick up a pair of graduation Mickey Ears to wear during your stay and take a picture in front of Cinderella Castle to have a lasting memory commemorating your big day.  If you are like me and love photos, you could also book a commemorative photo session in Magic Kingdom Park. Capture Your Moment - A Disney Parks Photo Experience gives guests an individualized photo session with a Photopass Photographer and creates beautiful memories.

When my family heads to Walt Disney World Resort for a celebration, I always add a little extra magic to our celebrations by placing an order with Disney Floral & Gifts.  They have a variety of packages for every celebration that suits every budget.  Some of their best sellers include Walt Disney World souvenirs, balloons, snacks, stuffed animals, jewelry or flowers, and the team will work with you to make your celebration memorable.

Another fun recommendation would be to add a Mickey Mouse Celebration specialty cake to your Advanced Dining Reservation.  This is a simple process that can be added up until the day of your Dining Reservation.  Simply head to the podium at the dining location and ask the Cast Member to add the cake to your reservation.  The cost will be added to your cheque at the end of your meal.  The cake can be customized to add a special message and can be ordered in either chocolate or white chocolate.  The cake serves 4-6 guests and the dining location will pack up any leftover cake for you to enjoy later.

I hope you have an unforgettable graduation celebration at Walt Disney World Resort, Dylan.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!

    Happy planning,
