Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Courtney! Thank you for stopping by to bring us your question.
One of my favorite ways to save up for an upcoming magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is by collecting Disney Gift Cards. I try to purchase smaller amounts as I can, like when I go grocery shopping. You can find Disney Gift Cards at most major retailers. I will sometimes even request Disney gift cards in lieu of presents for birthdays or Christmas. I love seeing the totals add up. It all points in the direction of magical memories!
Courtney, you can definitely use Disney Gift Cards to save up for your trip!
Your Magic Your Way vacation package balance will be due 30-days before you check-in, so be sure to call in to provide the Gift Card numbers to a friendly Cast Member by calling Disney’s reservations help line at (407) 939-5277. Before you call, be sure to consolidate your cards. It will make the process simpler and quicker. To consolidate your cards, register them at
DisneyGiftCard.com and transfer their balances so you end up with fewer cards to provide payment with.
Upon arrival, you can pay off your charges nightly with your Disney Gift Cards, but the resort is not able to add Gift Cards to your account, only Credit Cards. You will have to have a Credit Card on file to use your MagicBand as a form of payment during your visit. Just be sure to pay off your balance the night before you check out so your credit card doesn’t get charged.
I hope this helps answer your question. Have fun dreaming up, planning, and saving up for your magical vacation. And don’t hesitate to come back to see us with any more questions or for planning tips.
See ya real soon,
