Planning to visiting Orange County the weekend of November 12th. Any ideas on if DisneyLand will be opening back up?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Michelle! You’re as welcome as can be to planDisney!

I’m so excited for your upcoming visit to Orange County, California! The weather is starting to cool down, with hints of crisp fall nights in the air… this is definitely one of my favorite times of year, especially when it’s spent at the Happiest Place on Earth

Unfortunately, we don’t know yet if Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will reopen by your November visit. Both theme parks are temporarily closed and will reopen at a later date, pending state and local government approvals. To be the first to hear about reopening dates, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and on Disneyland.com for all the latest updates.

I do, however, have some good news for you! As part of Disneyland Resort’s phased reopening, Downtown Disney District is open! I’m so thankful to have one piece of the magic back! My family and I love visiting Downtown Disney to get our Disney fix. We enjoy shopping for sweet treats at Marceline’s Confectionery, scouting out the latest merchandise at World of Disney, and my personal favorite, scooping up seasonal décor at Disney Home. If you’re a fan of Churro Toffee, try to arrive at Marceline’s Confectionery by midday since it tends to go quickly!

I also recommend making dining reservations ahead of time, especially if you plan on visiting on a weekend. Having a dining reservation will help you with parking in the Simba Lot, especially when the lot is full and parking is temporarily paused. If that happens, Guests with dining reservations will have priority access. You can find the Simba Lot at Disneyland Drive and Katella Ave. I’m thrilled to report that parking at the Simba Lot is temporarily complimentary, too! Currently, these restaurants are accepting reservations. My family loves dining at Naples Ristorante e Bar -- the family-size pizzas are delicious!

Before your visit, don’t forget to click here to find out everything you’ll need to know for a successful Downtown Disney District adventure. Also, be sure to bring a face covering for yourself and any Guests ages 2 and older.

I hope this information helps you enjoy a pixie-dusted California weekend, Michelle!

    See ya’ real soon!
