I am planning on visiting Magic Kingdom this septemer, we would like to spend the day at the park but also attend the Halloween spectacular. Do we need to purchase both tickets or will the MK full admission ticket cover both events.

    Hi Kelly,

Welcometo the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending your question to us!  September is a great month to visit Walt Disney World Resort, the fall décor is beautiful and the special events are so much fun!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is considered a Special Ticketed Event and does require a separate ticket if you plan on attending.  So, if you would like to visit Magic Kingdom Park prior to the beginning of the Party, you will need a Theme Park Ticket in addition to your ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Guests with tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are typically allowed into Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 pm and will receive a bracelet once in Magic Kingdom Park.  Once the party starts Cast Members will ask to see your bracelet for the party and guests who do not have the bracelets will be escorted out of the Theme Park.  Once the party starts, Cast Members will also scan MagicBands at the entrances of attractions to ensure guests in fact do have a ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and if you do not have a ticket, you will not be able to experience the attraction.

I hope you have a magical visit at Walt Disney World Resort, Kelly.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
