We’re planning on visiting Magic Kingdom Jan 30 2025, a day MK closes at 4:30pm. What is the latest we can make a dining reservation? Will we be escorted out of the park at 4:30 if we’re not done eating in time?

Hi Shania! Welcome to planDisney! A visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth sounds like a great way to start the new year! You are correct, Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to close at 4:30 on January 30, 2025, for a private event.

You should be able to make Disney Dining reservations for any time before 4:30. For example, if you see a 4:25 reservation, you should take the reservation. To allow yourself a little peace of mind, I recommend trying to find one a little earlier than 4:25. But, as long as your reservation is scheduled before 4:30, you should be fine to enjoy your dining experience. However, I would not select any reservations beginning at 4:30 (even if available). You could arrive for your 4:30 reservation and be told that you need to exit the park.

When the park is scheduled to close early, Guests will not be “escorted” out of the park. What you will find is Cast Members positioned throughout the park to check MagicBands and tickets. If you are not part of the private event, you will be directed to the park exit. If you are still enjoying your meal at park closing time, you will be allowed to finish, and then make your way to the park exit immediately after your meal.

For planning purposes, you might want to know the hours for the three other Disney Parks on January 30, 2025. While park hours are subject to change, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be open until 9:00 PM and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will remain open until 6:00 PM.

    Dreams do come true!
