We are planning on visiting June 2013 and staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Can you eat at any of the other resorts throughout the day without being a guest? I have heard it's a good idea to leave the park and eat at a hotel to avoid the rush.

    Hi Rachel!

You can dine at ANY Walt Disney World restaurant without being a guest!  I highly recommend making advance reservations if you'd like to eat at any table service restaurants at the resorts.  You can do so 180 days in advance of your vacation.

I wouldn't say you should eat at a resort to avoid lunch or dinner rush at the parks.  You are still taking the time out to travel elsewhere to eat and then travel time back to where you want to go.  My biggest reason for eating at the resorts is the food!  If I leave a park to dine somewhere else, I'm going specifically for the food.  'Ohana at the Polynesian is my absolute favorite restaurant and Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge is a close second.  :)

You can also make reservations for table service inside the parks.  That way, you know you have a secured spot and can avoid the crowds at a counter service restaurant.

    Have a magical day!
