Hi Jim,
Welcome to planDisney!
Well, that is the question of the month! Unfortunately, we cannot speculate about park capacity. I wish I had a more definitive answer for you!
What I can say is that I just returned from a trip this past week and park crowds were quite manageable, especially with some planning. If you have not done so already, make
advanced dining reservations. Given the time of year you plan to visit, it should be nice to take a break from the summer heat with a dining reservation in an air-conditioned restaurant.
We also took advantage of digital tools through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App.
We used Mobile Dine Check-in,
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and
Disney MagicMobile service. With Mobile Dine Check-in, we were able to check-in while walking to the restaurant. As we did Mobile Food & Beverage ordering, we learned to check pick-up times at least an hour before we wanted to eat. And with Disney MagicMobile service, I appreciated being able to scan into the park with my mobile device!
As you continue to plan, just be sure to make those dining reservations and pay attention to the
park hours. We always get to the park early so we can get in line and be there right as the first Guests are allowed in. With this strategy at Disney's Hollywood Studios recently, we were able to walk onto
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and we only waited in line for
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run for about 20 minutes.
Jim, do keep your eye on the
operational updates since policies and procedures could change. In the meantime, start packing! A world of magic awaits!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
