Planning on visiting 1/5-1/12/17. This will be our first visit this time of year. Will the Christmas decorations still be up? I'm really hoping the castle will still have lights on it!!!

    Hi Christina,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. I completely understand wanting to see Cinderella Castle decorated for Christmas! It’s probably my favourite part of the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort.

Although no “holiday decorations” schedule ever gets released, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that there will still be some decorations up, at least in the Theme Parks, when you arrive on January 5, 2017. I’ve been to Walt Disney World Resort twice in early January and, based on my experience, I find that the decorations only come down after the Walt Disney World Resort Marathon Weekend is over. Because this year’s edition only ends on January 8th, there’s a good chance that the decorations, including those on Cinderella Castle, will still be up, at least for the first few days of your vacation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
