Hi there, Monica! Welcome back to planDisney! It’s always great to see Guests returning to us with important vacation planning questions. And what a special occasion it will be, celebrating your daughter’s 21st birthday in EPCOT! Wishing her an early happy birthday and safe celebrations. You’ve come to the right place because experiencing the unique flavors and libations around World Showcase is one of my absolute favorite things to do at Disney! I am getting ready to enjoy a visit around the world with the
planDisney Class of 2024 very soon, and I cannot wait!
Not too long ago,
EPCOT opened in phases. What is now World Discovery, World Celebration, and World Nature used to open early in the morning, with World Showcase opening a couple of hours later, but nowadays, everything opens at the same time. The caveat is that some dining and shopping locations may open later in the day. But Hakuna Matata, I have some recommendations to kickstart your celebration!
To start your day, I’d suggest heading to
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion for a Viking Coffee—a delicious and cozy blend of coffee laced with Baileys Irish Cream and Kamora Coffee Liqueur. From there, make your way over to the France Pavilion for a champagne flight at Les Vins de France—a fantastic way to toast to your daughter’s special day! If they aren't popping bubbly upon arrival, you can always grab a Mimosa and delicious pastry from
Les Halles Boulangerie first! For midmorning or lunchtime choices, check out the Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen from the Germany Pavilion and the Ottawa Apple from the
Popcorn Cart in the Canada Pavillion. As you get later into the day, be sure to sample some of my other favorite spots, like the
Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom Pavilion, or end the evening with a refreshing cocktail from the Japan Pavilion’s
Katsura Grill.
I hope you and your daughter have an unforgettable day celebrating at EPCOT! Be sure to indulge in some fantastic culinary treats EPCOT is known for, like the Norwegian School Bread in Norway, the iconic Fish & Chips from the United Kingdom Pavilion, and some
tacos and margaritas in Mexico!
Cheers!
Brent
