We are planning on visiting DW in 2014 and are trying to budget. We are definitely wanting to stay on the monorail system due to two children under 5. If we were to stay at the Contemporary Resort are you able to see the Wishes fireworks from all rooms?

    Hi, Kelley!

We have taken countless trips to Walt Disney World, and the one my kids still talk about was when we could view Wishes! right from our balcony at the Contemporary.

To get view of Magic Kingdom's fireworks, you will want to book a Tower Room with a Magic Kingdom view.  It is going to be pricey, but let's just say it is a "million dollar view!"  If you choose to stay at the Contemporary but opt for a less expensive room, my favorite place to view the fireworks is from the 4th floor observation deck.  Here you can get a wonderful view just steps from Chef Mickey's and the Grand Canyon Concourse of the Contemporary.

The Tower Rooms facing Bay Lake and the Garden Wing Rooms are identical to those facing the Magic Kingdom but without the view of the park and fireworks.  However, I really do like the Bay Lake views, I think it is really beautiful.  Other views will be of the pool, beach, garden, or parking lot.

If you want some more resort ideas and room locations along the monorail line, just let me know!  My family loves staying near the Magic Kingdom so I can give you lots of tips!  Have fun planning your magical vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
