We are planning on visiting DW in September with a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old. Where do you recommend for lodging? Many places don't seem age appropriate. What activites are there when they are tired of walking in the parks?

    Hello  Bonnie,

If the kids are anything like my daughter, then they will absolutely love Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Karibuni means welcome and you and the kids will certainly feel that way the moment you step on property. The Uzima Pool has a 67 foot water slide that's great for afternoons in the Florida sun. Often times, there is African face painting available for Guests or you can learn to play African instruments. Folktales are told too.

And who can forget the animals! You can learn about the wildlife in one of the many animal programs and wildlife programs the Resort offers. The Savanna offers so much for kids of all ages.

If you're looking for a Resort to hang out in during those midday breaks from the Theme Parks, I think AKL is a great one to choose!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
