Hey there, hi there, ho there, Leslie!
Welcome to planDisney! A visit to the
Downtown Disney District is a great way to add magic to a nice fall day. As a special needs parent, I completely understand the need to plan ahead to ensure that your family’s needs are met. I’ll be happy to help with your question!
There is a
companion restroom located at the Downtown Disney West Gate, near Din Tai Fung! This single-stall restroom provides additional space and privacy to care for your child. For the easiest way to locate this restroom, I recommend using the Disneyland
mobile app. Here’s how:
- Tap the location pin button in the bottom toolbar.
- Scroll left and tap “Restrooms.”
- Tap “Locations” below.
- Select “Downtown Disney” and tap “Apply.”
- Tap “Show List” in the bottom right corner of the screen.
From here, you will see the Downtown Disney West Gate Companion Restroom at the top of the list. After you select it, tap “Find on Map” on the information page, then you will be able to see its exact location!
There is not a dedicated
First Aid center in Downtown Disney at this time. So if you require a dedicated adult changing table, I recommend connecting with a Cast Member for assistance when you arrive to learn about the accommodations available.
Bonus Tip: There are so many new places to dine and shop these days at Downtown Disney. Check out the
full guide on the Disney Parks Blog! During my most recent visit, I was able to try the Pork Lumpia from
Big Boi Lumpia Co., and it was delicious. They have multiple flavors, including chicken, plant-based, ube, and peach mango. You can find it at the row of carts between Disney’s Pin Traders and Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill and Patio.
Leslie, I hope this information was helpful and that you all have the most magical time during your visit! If you need any additional help planning your vacation, please come back and see us again here at planDisney.
Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
Karmeen
