I am planning on visiting Disneyland with my autistic 5 yr old. What type of documents will I need to get the DAS pass? Will I know if I can for sure get the pass before I buy tickets?

Hi there, Megan! Welcome to planDisney! It's so wonderful to have you here, and I'm absolutely delighted to help you plan a truly magical Disneyland Resort adventure for you and your child!

Let's talk about Disney Parks' Disability Access Service (DAS). It's like having a special magic wand that helps ensure everyone can enjoy the parks to the fullest. DAS is specifically designed for Guests who find it challenging to wait in traditional attraction queues for extended periods. It can be a game-changer for families, and it can be especially useful for Guests with developmental disabilities like autism.

Just a little heads-up, Megan: Valid park tickets are needed to determine DAS eligibility. Before you complete the registration process, you'll want to make sure everyone in your group has their tickets linked. You can do this through the Disneyland website or via the Disneyland mobile app. Once your tickets are linked, you're ready to unlock a world of accessible fun with DAS!

Getting set up with DAS is as easy as waving that magic wand! You have two fantastic options: You can chat with a friendly Cast Member at an Accessibility Services Kiosk once you arrive at the park, or you can connect with a Cast Member via a live video chat up to 30 days before your visit! No need for any special paperwork, but your child will need to be present for the registration, whether you do it in person or via video chat.

I also highly recommend exploring Disneyland’s resources for Guests with disabilities on the website. There's a whole section dedicated to Guests with neurodivergent disabilities, including autism, with fantastic tips and guides. They even have a special guide to sensory experiences, which breaks down what to expect at each attraction and land in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park—super helpful for planning ahead!

Disneyland has truly thought of everything to make your visit a breeze! The website and mobile app are like your personal planning guides, packed with information and tools to help you craft the perfect day. The map feature in the app will be your best friend, helping you find the nearest restroom, navigate to Guest Services, or even track down your family's favorite characters for a magical meet-and-greet!

And let's not forget about the magic of mobile food and beverage ordering! It's a time-saving superhero, especially when hunger strikes with a little one! Just open the app, tap that little plus (+) sign at the bottom, and tap "Order Food." Find your chosen restaurant, tap "Begin Order" for the next available pick-up, or tap on the restaurant's name to choose a specific arrival time that suits your schedule.

Megan, planning ahead is your key to unlocking the most magical Disneyland Resort day ever! I hope this information helps you and your child have an unforgettable adventure!
