Monique:
Generally, a low price at Disney also brings you lower crowds because
Disney tries to entice guests to come during the slower times of the
year (called Value Season) with
special offers and price reductions.
Value Season is from mid-January to mid-February, except for holiday
weekends; mid-August to the end of September; and late-November to
mid-December. Essentially, think about the times of the year when kids
are usually in school without breaks and that's Value Season.
Now, let's talk "decent" weather... I noticed you were from Ohio. I'm from
South Mississippi and even to me, August in Florida's heat is not what
I consider "decent." Our family's visits, even in September, have me
wearing a ballcap and a pony tail every day. January and February can
be quite pleasant, but if I had to choose from all of the Value Season
dates, I find myself recommending late November to mid-December for its mild days and the added bonus of Disney's Christmas decorations.
I've been during this time for the past three years, and crowds during early December have increased considerably from when I first visited the
week before Christmas in 2003. If you're flexible, I recommend going
the week after Thanksgiving for best weather, best crowds, and best
price, not to mention the Christmas decor.
Keep in mind that you can book your Disney vacation as far out as 499 days if you call to book. As it gets closer to your trip, feel free to come back and visit me via my bio page. I'm happy to help give you my thoughts on Disney dining and resorts.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
