Hi, we are planning on visiting Disney World during Christmas. We are not planning on doing Mickey's Christmas party, if we have reservations for dinner, will we be allowed into the park to eat or is it only open to party guests?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debbie! I'm very glad you decided to stop by with this excellent question!

I have some good news to share with you. Admission to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park does not officially begin until 7:00 p.m. If you are planning to visit this theme park during the day, with regular admission tickets, and have already secured dinner reservations, then you will certainly be allowed to remain at the restaurant until the conclusion of your meal. That is true even if you did not purchase the special event tickets. There is absolutely no need to rush your meal. In other words, you can enjoy a leisurely dinner at Magic Kingdom Park.

All the above being said, once the clock strikes 7:00 p.m., Cast Members will check to see if Guests that are walking around the park have the special party ticket wristbands for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If you do not have them, then they will graciously escort you to the park's exit. But again, you won't be asked to leave a restaurant in the middle of your dinner. In other words, Cast Members are more than happy to allow day Guests to finish up a meal or a shopping transaction as the park closes and the ticketed event begins.

Please note that without party tickets, you will not be admitted into Magic Kingdom Park after 7:00 p.m. Therefore, make sure to book your dining reservations prior to the 7:00 p.m. closing time for day Guests. Otherwise, plan on buying tickets for the party. I highly recommend it!

Wishing you an unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
